Today, we’re excited to introduce more choice and flexibility for Cameo gift-givers and recipients through Cameo Gift Cards.
What are Cameo Gift Cards?
Launching today, Cameo Gift Cards make it faster and easier to give the gift of Cameo — while offering recipients the option of who they connect with, how they connect, and when.
Recipients can redeem gift card credits to connect personally with tens of thousands of pop culture icons via Cameo video, DM, or Cameo Call (our newest product, still in beta: a one-on-one, in-app video conversation with talent), or, they can ‘pay it forward’ and send personalized Cameo videos to celebrate some other lucky pal.
How Does it Work?
Cameo Gift Cards can be purchased directly through our website and are available in any amount between $5 and $500, with suggested increments of $25, $50 and $100. After checkout, gift-givers will receive a confirmation email, and Cameo will email gift cards directly to the recipient on a specified date.
Upon opening a Cameo Gift Card, recipients will be directed to a redemption page where they can load credits into their account. When it’s go-time, they simply apply account credits as their payment method and proceed with checkout.
Wait, but why?
Gift-giving (for now…) accounts for the majority of Cameo’s bookings — and we heard that fans wanted a faster and easier way to send Cameos as gifts. Specifically, Cameo gift-givers requested an option to let recipients choose who to connect with, and last-minute gifters wanted to guarantee their Cameos were delivered on time.
Cameo Gift Cards now allow fans to purchase and give the gift of Cameo credits immediately, while allowing the recipient to choose both the talent they connect with, and the way they connect.
